An exciting opportunity has arisen to working with a world leading global organisation, we are looking for a Laboratory Assistant to work with MP based at our client's Research & Development Facility in Seacroft, Leeds. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 1 year with a view to extend, working a 37.5 hour week, to start ASAP. This role is paying £20,007 per annum/ £10.26 per hour.

We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant based at a client research facility working with some of the world's leading deodorant brands.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate stock levels and manage Fragrance house requests
  • Prepare and send sample request to US factory
  • Send samples to Fragrance houses
  • Collect raw materials from warehouse/factory
  • Filling of samples for testing (Roll-ons, Stick)
  • Filling of Aerosols (inc Gassing)
  • Setting up the storage at all temperatures
  • Sample preparation for Tests (Hot room, Clinical, Sensory testing)
  • Laboratory Housekeeping
  • Washing of lab materials and storing in cupboards
  • Support lab & storage clear outs
  • Supervising raw material collection rota
  • Order of lab supplies including raw materials & packaging
  • Ensure that waste disposal is completed according to agreed SOP
  • Be an active member of lab team
  • Lab waste management
  • Ensure lab coats & high vis jackets are cleaned regularly

  • Experience:
  • Lab technician experience
  • Interested in working in this field
  • Good IT skills
  • Good communication skills and well organised
