Instrument Technician

My client is a large independent chemical manufacturer and distributor, who are currently in need of an Control and Instrumentation Technician to support their site in West Thurrock.

What You'll be Doing

As a Control and Instrumentation Technician you'll be familiar with technical documentation and diagrams such as schematics and manuals, and able to maintain backup and revision documentation for control systems and instrumentation.

You'll be confident installing, configuring, calibrating and maintaining control, measurement and indication instrumentation (pneumatic, analogue and digital), and have sound understanding and experience of maintaining PLCs.

You'll be able to remove, repair, adjust and replace components, install and terminate instrument and electrical connections, and inspect and test the operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults.

Instruments include pressure, flow, temperature, level transmitters, analysers, sensors, detectors, signal conditioners, controllers and final control elements.

What's On Offer

On offer is a salary of £40,900 and further benefits including; a cycle to work scheme that opens twice a year, long service payment, and additional holiday after 5 years' service, plus a life assurance scheme of 3x annual salary. This is a days based role, where you will be required to work 1 weekend in 3, where 2 days off will be given in the following week.
