An opportunity has arisen for an Export Compliance Officer (Remote) to join our client in Yeovil (Please note this is an ITAR site). This is a temporary role for 6-9 Months, working Monday to Friday 37 hrs per week 8.00am - 4.30pm, with an early finish at 1.00pm on Friday, paying £17.90 per hour PAYE only. There will be a requirement to go onsite for the first day to, however this role can be worked remotely.

Our client are a leading provider of integrated avionics, engines, systems and service solutions for aircraft manufacturers, airlines, business and general aviation, military space and airport operations. The Aerospace Yeovil site includes Integrated Supply Chain operations and Engineering & Technology as well as other support functions. It specialises in several product lines including environmental control systems, life support systems, hydraulics systems and control and data systems.

In this position, you will work with our clients leaders to educate on export regulations to ensure they maintain compliance as a top priority. By using your investigation skills, you will help resolve complex export issues for a Fortune 100 company and liaise with external regulators to ensure that they have a positive working relationship with these agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage export controls to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. You will support business processes for submitting and obtaining all necessary export licenses, permits, and authorisations.
  • Establish relations with appropriate government regulatory agencies and support operational processes for assuring compliant application of export controls to operations.
  • Support the law department in investigating and resolving compliance problems, questions, or complaints.
  • Leverage customer relation skills to improve partnership with regulatory agencies.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (or 3 years relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Exposure to export compliance through work experience, or an interest in compliance themes and willing to learn
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve potential problems in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of the MS Office suite
  • Knowledge of SAP / GTS
  • Experience in any one of the following:UK export controls, European Union Dual-Use Regulation, Military Export Controls, US Export Regulations (EAR or ITAR), Customs Regulation, Sanctions Compliance
  • Fluency in other European languages (desirable but not essential)
