Laboratory Assistant

Fantastic job opportunity for a Oral Care Lab Assistant to join our client, a large fragrance manufacture in Ashford, Kent.

You will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the Oral Care Team; you will be compounding Oral Care flavour formulations for Flavourists trials and customer submissions and Incorporating Oral Care flavours into product bases for assessment by flavourists.

Manpower are urgently recruiting for Oral Care Lab Assistant that can work across Monday - Friday 36.25 hours per week and a hourly rate of £10.61p/h

As a Oral Care Lab Assistant your role will also involve:

• Compounding of Oral Care flavour formulations for Flavourists trials, customer submissions and research projects.

• Incorporation of Oral Care flavours into product formulations such as toothpaste and mouthwash for flavourists to assess.

• Support to the flavourist in managing paperwork and processes relating to flavour creation and dispatch of samples to customers.

• Ensuring that stocks of laboratory materials are replenished, correctly labelled and within date.

• Collection of new oils from the Oral Care Compounding Factory as required.

• Occasional tasting and assessment of stored toothpaste samples.

• Working as part of Oral Care team to provide holiday cover to other team members in both labs.

Having some previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage. Ideally you'll also be flexible with working hours, be able to use your own initiative, and work well as part of a team to deliver results and have basic PC, numeracy and literacy skills.
