Finance Payable Manager- Carlisle

I am currently looking for an accounts payable manager to join one of our clients, an agricultural supplier for farming and rural communities. Based within their office in Carlisle, As Accounts Payable Manager you would play an essential role behind the scenes of the company.

The business is a well-established organisation who prides themselves in growing culture, ideas, innovation and talent. The growth and drive of their company since the late 1800s has played an integral role in them becoming a nation-wide company with more than 500 employees across the UK.

As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will form part of the Finance Team and be expected to:

• Take responsibility for day-to-day managements of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring it runs smoothly
• Identify and implement process improvements within the Accounts Payable function
• Coaching and mentoring of 2 direct reports
• Ensuring that invoices are processed correctly, and all outstanding invoices are chased across a wide customer base (including overseas customers)
• Monthly KPI reporting and month-end reporting

To be successful within the role of an Accounts Payable Manager, you will need to have leadership and communication skills, as well as being able to work to tight deadlines, giving a high attention to detail all whilst having those organisational skills to make sure you can complete all tasks expected of you.

Your skills and experience should include:

• Demonstrable experience in an Accounts Payable role
• Leadership experience or the desire to move into a management position
• Good communication skills - able to work with a wide range of people

This is a Monday-Friday role, with hours of 09:00 - 17:00 and is based at the client's modern offices in Carlisle.
