We have an exciting opportunity for an Appian Developer to join us at Babcock Digital Solutions. Babcock Digital Solutions is part of Devonport Royal Dockyard (DRDL), one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe. We're a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in Devonport and around the world, delivering complex ship and submarine sustainment programmes and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security.

Who we are looking for?

As a Senior Appian Developer, you'll be part of the Applications Solution team where your focus will be on supporting and developing applications to be used by Babcock and MoD. The team develops and maintains custom web applications based on Appian, C#, and Oracle APEX. The Senior Appian Developer will be challenged by customer design and developing bespoke applications.

What will you be doing?
* Requirement gathering and analysis.
* Design and develop technical solutions on the Appian BPM Suite based on the requirements gathered.
* Design integration requirements with other third-party platforms.
* Designing data models.
* Defining development standards for the project in adherence to best practices.
* Performing frequent code reviews & ensuring quality of the overall delivery.

The experience you'll bring
* Ideally a Degree or HNC level within a Computer Science, or related subject.
* Extensive experience in development of enterprise-level web applications using an object-oriented technology stack.
* Considerable experience in leading a team of developers
* Substantial experience in designing BPM applications.
* Good logical and analytical reasoning ability, and a team player.
* Fluent English communication and social skills to interact with a global customer base.

You must be a British national and be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
