As a warship support partner to the Royal Navy, and other Navies worldwide, Babcock is a provider of deep support, in-service maintenance and operational support for complex warships and auxiliaries.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Warships Engineering Team in a permanent role. You will be working alongside other highly qualified and knowledgeable engineers, managers, and technicians to help deliver our current and future programmes respectively.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for a T26 - IKM Manager to establish and develop the information management systems for the T26 programme within Babcock across all lines of development. This will focus on processes, capability and SQEP capacity, building necessary relationships with other key technical internal and external stakeholders to ensure the platforms are adequately supported through life.

What will you be doing?

Assist SCA to establish interfacing Transition Working Groups (TWGs) including Platform Authority Safety Working Group.

Work with Warship Support to establish the Type 26 Platform Authority and SCA within CSM Governance - including transfer of contracted safety and support products and information from the Acquisition team to the Support team.

Work with the SCA to transfer Maintenance & Design Management contracted support products and information from the Acquisition team to the Support team.

Work with SCA to plan first maintenance periods.

Work with Navy Command to transfer safety and support products and information.

The experience you'll bring

  • Preferably - IEng or CEng with an approved engineering institution.
  • Desirable - Degree qualified in an engineering or science discipline.
  • Experienced in working with others to deliver the through life support of complex assets
  • Experienced in writing high quality technical reports.

However, if this is not the case, and you can prove your competence via experience, please still apply and this will be assessed by the Engineering Director.

You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
