We're looking for someone dynamic, ambitious and eager to make a real impact in the Dreadnought programme's delivery team, within Babcock Mission Systems.
Babcock Mission Systems is a business unit within the Marine Sector of Babcock International Group. Working on a range of exciting design, manufacture and support projects, Mission Systems works with a number of key clients domestically and internationally. We're based at a number of sites in the UK and overseas. The business continues to win new work and grow at a significant pace, as a result we are recruiting for talented, enthusiastic and driven people.

The difference you will make
The Babcock Mission Systems project management team of about 160 people helps teams deliver their goals, whether they are customer contracts or business improvements. Most of the team are based in Bristol, but you'll find project managers at most Mission Systems sites. This award-winning team successfully delivers complex projects worldwide, operating right across different functions, and at the heart of delivery teams working with customers.
As part of the Dreadnought delivery team, you'll work with senior management and build cross business partnerships in delivering a number of strategic projects on time and to budget, including (but not limited to) some of the following activities depending on team:

    General duties in support of a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager
    * Contributing to programme weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting requirements
    * Supporting risk and opportunity management across the delivery teams
    * Supporting the PMO in managing schedule & resource forecasts and baseline change requests
    * Raising, controlling and monitoring requisitions in IFS to initiate Supply Chain activities
    * Supporting the Supply Chain, Production and Engineering functions in managing and controlling delegated work packages via the Task Order process
    * Supporting Commercial in managing and enacting contract change notes in the project management processes solutions.
Who we're looking for
You're someone who brings attention to detail, your own ideas and is able to handle and present complex information with confidence in a fast pace environment.

Experience
* Strong use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project (or Primavera)
* Working with Supply Chain requisitions, task or works orders and tracking work packages
* Experience of using IFS, or similar ERP system (desirable)
* Experience of managing contract change from a project management perspective (desirable)
Skills and attributes

    Excellent listening and communication skills
    * Is able to work independently and as an active team member
    * Willing to learn and grow within Project Management or Project Controls
Education and qualifications

    APM Project Management Qualification (desirable)
