Job Details

Our client, is a public distance Learning and Research University, and one of the biggest universities in the UK for undergraduate education.

They are looking to recruit two Curriculum Managers to join their WELS team. The roles are to start asap until December 2022 and February 2023, working 37hrs a week. This role is working from home, with the occasional requirement to work on the Milton Keynes Campus and equipment will be supplied. The hourly rate is £17.83 - £19.91ph, which equates to £34,304 - £36,382pa, depending on experience.

Curriculum Managers provide project management and administrative support in module presentation across the WELS curriculum and to curriculum related projects. They are the primary interface between module teams/curriculum related project teams and the production and administrative areas of the University and help to ensure that modules and projects meet agreed quality standards.

Duties:

  • Ensuring that modules are presented on time and to budget and that necessary Faculty and University policy and procedures are followed in relation to module presentation and production activities.
  • Ensuring that module teams operate within the framework of objectives, policies and procedures agreed by the academic unit and as defined institutionally;
  • Through the Senior Manager, providing a link between the module teams and the academic unit's senior management team;
  • Liaising between academic colleagues and the production and administrative areas of the University, and between the Faculty, Associate Lecturers and students;
  • Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in a managerial role, supporting processes and procedures
  • Competent using MS Office packages
  • Able to manage a large number of colleagues to co-ordinate the workload
  • Able to manipulate and manage data using bespoke IT systems
