This is a great opportunity for a payroll administrator to build on existing experience and work part time within a small payroll operations team. The role is 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday during core hours. You will be responsible for providing accurate and timely payroll services to employees and enjoy supporting team members within a customer service and finance centre for a well known brand and household name with a strong customer mindset.

The role:

  • Supporting employees with payroll queries and assist with access issues regarding online payslips
  • Supporting internal customers with queries through a central solution service
  • Transactional activities relating to the payroll general ledger accounts
  • Supporting with running payroll reports and month end processes
  • Daily reconciliation and audit of the payroll bank account
  • Creating and issuing business invoices relating to employee salary costs and subsequent intergroup reporting routines at month and year end
  • Monthly creation, reconciliation and reporting of the Payroll financial trial balance
  • Inputting of third-party payments for approval via the bank account
  • P11D (taxable benefits) reporting, including reconciliation and subsequent payment of the Class 1A nic liabilities

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar role with knowledge of payroll procedures
  • A keen eye for detail and an analytical mind, with good Math skills
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Familiarity with payroll software SD Worx, HRIS, MS Office (especially Excel) and Case management systems, experience with accounting software packages such as QuickBooks would also be a bonus.
