Security Administration supporting Government Compliance Standards including:
Access Control: This activity consists of processing visit requests submitted by staff including verification of clearances. Production of guest badges and affording access in accordance with clearance, Need To Know (NTK) and contractual authorisations. This task also covers the actions involved in providing access, including taking photographs for staff badges. Production and issuing of staff badges and managing access permissions in line with company policies. Included, is the management of access methods to areas not controlled by Automatic Access Control system issuing codes or keys as required.
A similar process is applied to the control of access to security cabinets where some documentation/equipment is stored. Expected to only authorise access when set criteria are complied with and for general enquiries direct the requester if criteria are not met.
Clearance activity: To support the 2 Vetting Officers with the clearance activity which is key to enabling staff to support the numerous contracts the business delivers upon. BPSS Clearance / SC Clearance etc.
Visit Facilitation: Point of contact for facilitating staff visits within the UK but liaising with the site to be visited and providing the necessary assurances. Where staff from other Countries are visiting the role will be responsible for liaising with the Security Operations to establish security assurance levels for low level visits.
Compliance Support admin: The team has to conduct a significant amount of compliance activity and support other functions by providing security held information. To be responsible for creating the reports, data sets and other associated admin tasks to enable the activity to be completed in a timely manner. Also support other members of the team with further compliance events.
General Tasks: Required to provide the Security Manager with data, metrics and summaries of areas of their responsibility to enable presentation to other fora and workload planning.
Key Management: Signing out keys and other loaned items
Escorting: Providing escort into closed areas on occasions
Clean Desk Review: Perform out of hours checks to ensure compliance with Clean Desk Policy, overtime is paid for this activity.
Producing metrics, charts etc to illustrate security measurements, other tasks as directed in provision of Security Services to the customer.
