An opportunity has arisen in Chadderton for a Cash Allocation Specialist/ Administrator to join our leading global wholesale distributor client. This is a temporary role for 8 weeks the possibility of going perm for the right candidate, paying £12.47 per hour, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5pm to start ASAP. The role is working hybrid 3 days in the office, 2 days at home.
** DBS and Criminal check will be conducted on all successful candidates**
Purpose of the Job
The Cash Application Specialist will support the finance function: posting and allocating customer receipts, processing write offs, reconciliations and other adhoc tasks as and when required.
JOB DUTIES:
Cash Allocation - own portfolio
- Application of Cash receipts to the correct invoices
- Application and allocating Bank Transfer receipts
- Daily balancing of cash receipts
- Investigating misapplied cash
- Account reconciliation
- Preparing journal entries and AR write offs
- Ensuring daily cash, Agile and email requests are managed in a timely manner
- GL Account identification of unknown incoming values
- Investigating misapplied and unidentified cash
- Maintenance of Unapplied Cash records
- Maintenance of records for auditing purposes (filing remittances, bank statements, approved write offs etc.)
- Frequent cooperation with Credit Analysts and Customer Master Specialist
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills
- Ability to multi-task, assess priorities, and drive performance in a complex and demanding environment.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word.
WE VALUE:
- Previous experience working in a Shared Service Centre would be preferred or a large finance department
- Large ERP experience desirable
- Perhaps you are a recent graduate with a finance degree looking for your first experience.
- Good problem-solving skills
