Who we are looking for?

You will be able to actively seek new knowledge and enjoy a challenge, working with a busy schedule of varied and interesting projects. Ideally you will have a good working knowledge of delivering improvement projects with practical experience of leading and supporting projects, as well as the identification of improvement opportunities aligned to key business goals. We are looking for you to be able to work independently across the whole organisation, with little or no supervision, and equally as part of an improvement team and community.

What will you be doing?
In your role as a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will report to the Business Improvement Manager, and be proactive in delivering improvement by identifying, defining, and planning business improvement initiatives and delivering simple and complex improvement projects.

Your responsibilities will include, but won't be limited to:
* Delivering Just-Do-It activities
* Working on Lean Six Sigma projects
* Focusing on Operational Excellence assessments and bench-marking teams against best practice
* Supporting cultural learning and change
* Promoting CI tools and techniques as well as CI mentoring and support

The experience you'll bring
* Hold an HNC / Degree or equivalent qualification within a STEM discipline or relevant experience
* Have Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt

You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.

What a role with Babcock offers?
* Enhanced employment terms and conditions
* Money purchase pension scheme
* Life assurance
* Share ownership scheme
* Occupational health services
* Flexible working hours (only non-industrials)
