Babcock are introducing a transformational programme into its Naval Nuclear and Marine organisation, underpinned by the implementation of SAP to simplify and standardise the way in which we operate. Data is at the heart of our implementation, and we are required to transfer our data from several systems and migrate into the new target solution. We need a Data Lead to lead the stream, ensuring we have a suitable framework which delivers data transformation, migration and quality, both during the programme and beyond.

Who we are looking for?

A strong leader who has experience of working with a range of stakeholders to determine and drive data transformation and quality during the key data phases and work on a model that ensures we understand our key data artefacts and how we manage moving forwards.

What will you be doing?
* Lead the data workstream; approach, plan, reporting
* Working with key super and data users across our functional areas to determine data plans and progress on cleansing, decisions
* Documented data standards and principles
* Documented and signed off ownership details for the data (inc. Regulatory, security and compliance sign offs)
* Documented deviations, workarounds or compromises with supporting rationale and details on recommendations and dated sign offs
* A data transition and migration strategy and a data transition plan including a plan for quality assurance
* Work with the other key workstreams; process, reporting, build - to ensure an integrated end-to-end solution

The experience you'll bring
* Experience in the delivery and transition of data aspects to an ERP solution
* Leadership - leading a team and federated network to deliver on quality data
* Engagement across multiple levels in the organisation
* Bringing people together to deliver on shared outcomes

You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
