This is your opportunity to join Babcock as a Civils Site Agent. You will be directly responsible for the management of a team of staff and sub-contractors, ensuring that all project work undertaken is within Railway Group and Network Rail Line Standards. Projects under your control should be delivered to the required quality, in a timeous and effective manner, following full co-ordination of the construction with the Project Engineering and Project Management functions.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for an experienced and driven individual who is willing to learn and can hit the ground running. You will need to have good IT and man management skills, as well as being an effective communicator, both verbally and written.

What will you be doing?

Your main duties will include

* Provide support to the RSAS Senior Delivery Manager and provide professional guidance on all construction issues related to the Projects that they are responsible for.
* Liaise with the client's representatives, RSAS Project Management, RSAS Construction, RSAS CEMs and RSAS CREs as required over construction issues.
* Provide direction and assistance in the mentoring and instruction of all technical staff in the correct methods of carrying out their duties for the implementation of Civils works.
* Independently monitor compliance on contracted works ensuring that the documentation as required by the Client is correctly completed, accurate and delivered to the client within the required timescales.
* Assist the RSAS Senior Delivery Manager in delivering compliance with all relevant safety legislation.
* Ensure all construction aspects of works comply with group and line standards and contractual specifications.

The experience you'll bring

* In depth knowledge of Network Rail Group and Line Standards.
* In depth knowledge of Multi-Disciplined Railway works.
* Excellent knowledge of Rules & Regulations, H.A.S.A.W and other appropriate regulations.
* Experience in working in the operational railway environment.
* In depth knowledge of all aspects of civils in a railway environment.
* Experience in the operation and requirements of railway technical IT systems.
* Experience and knowledge of Temporary Works.
* You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
