Logistics Administrator - Southampton

An ever-growing global trades company which supplies equipment for a huge range of international clients are looking for a dynamic Logistics Administrator to join their sociable team in Southampton. You will play a crucial part in coordinating shipments, liaising with freight partners to coordinate documents and most importantly, updating clients and providing a first-class customer service. Responsibilities -

  • Coordinating local and international shipments including air, sea, road, and courier for incoming and outgoing freight.
  • Building relationships and negotiating rates with freight forwarders
  • Arranging shipments from the warehouse via air, sea, and courier
  • Producing Commercial Invoices and Packing Lists for shipped items
  • Liaising with our clients and providing them with order status reports and pre-alerts for shipments
  • Updating client shipment portal with essential shipping documents and information such as Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, commodity codes, ETA's

Experience/ Requirements: -

  • Knowledge of shipping documents including Air Waybills and Bills of Lading (desirable)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident and clear communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
