Manpower are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client based in Milton Keynes for a Fleet Damage & Recharge Executive to join their team with an immediate start!

The hourly rate is £17.10 per hour and you will be expected to work a 35 hour week.

This role is initially until the end of the year with the view of being extended further.

About the role


Reporting to the Damage & Recharge Controller, the primary purpose of the role will be to support with all administration regarding in life customer recharges, end of hire condition reporting, collating customer damage packs, liaising with the customer to obtain authorisation and creation of customer invoices.

The role holder will be responsible for creating effective customer relationships to help ensure SLA's are adhered to with the objective of capturing all pre-authorised mechanical recharges, tactical decision making on cosmetic repair using industry knowledge and invoicing the customer whilst getting the vehicle back in service with minimal down time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the de-fleet process for all Rent-a-Car vehicles by organising end of contract inspections and monitoring levels of vehicle damage in line with SLA's to meet Brand return standards
  • With the support of the Damage & Recharge Controller maintain good relationships with customers, insurers and body repairers effectively, ensuring the minimisation of fleet down time to drive the significant financial benefits
  • Applying own technical knowledge and fleet industry experience to asses vehicle damages ensuring suppliers are compliant by acting as an arbitrator and escalating to the Damage & Recharge controller as necessary
  • Approve and regularly review repair authorisations ensuring costs and downtime are kept to a minimum within budgets
  • Upon recognising any trends on recharges and repairs make recommendations for optimisation of cost to the Damage & Recharge Controller
  • Responsible for vehicle recharges ensuring vehicle repair costs are recovered by charging Locations and Corporate Customers
  • Keep up to date with any environmental, legal, economic, political developments directly impacting fleet and rental business in the Mobility Sector

Skills and Experience

  • Confident, articulate, with the ability to present findings
  • Ability to develop and sustain positive and co-operative working relationships with a broad variety of internal and external partners
  • Strong organisation and planning skills, delivering quality output to deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • High level of motivation and commitment - with a real desire to make things happen against key objectives
  • Ability to operate without close day to day supervision
  • Ability to maintain credibility with locations
  • Good working understanding of MS Word and Excel
  • Rental experience within the automotive industry (essential)
  • Fleet management experience within the automotive industry (essential)
  • Good vehicle brand knowledge and features (desirable)
  • Proven experience of influencing key stakeholders (desirable)
