Now is your opportunity to join Babcock as an Assistant Engineer Supportability.

As a configuration engineer you will be responsible for the accuracy of your own work, whilst working under the direction of both the Configuration Assurance Manager and the Configuration Team Lead.

The role includes liaising with stakeholders to resolve data conflicts whilst ensuring tasks are completed within the contracted timescales.

This role is based at Portsmouth

Who we are looking for?


We are looking for an Assistant Engineer Supportability that is strong communicator both with internal and external stakeholders, with technical knowledge and ability to present data issues internally

.
You will be a strong team player who can interact well within your own team and other teams and business areas.

What will you be doing?

Your responsibilities will include:

Undertaking configuration accounting tasks which involves for the extraction of configuration data from approved source material to ensure the SSDD is maintained with the right data at the right time.

This involves interpreting technical data from drawings, specifications and other technical publications, comparing to data held in the SSDD and updating SSDD as required.

The experience you'll bring


* ONC or equivalent engineering academic qualification with suitable experience in engineering, preferably within the MoD Maritime domain.
* Engineering experience is desirable with knowledge of support activities within the MoD Maritime environment being an advantage.
* You should hold or have the ability to obtain SC clearance
