We currently have an opportunity for a Business Improvement Programme Controller to join our team at Babcock Clyde - the role will offer a mixture of remote and onsite working at HMNB Clyde.

Who we are looking for?
This post plays a key support role to the development, governance, monitoring and reporting to ensure effective control of key business improvement projects and programmes at HMNB Clyde in accordance with the Babcock Way.

Additionally, the role also coordinates the Clyde Strategic Workforce Planning/Load Following Model data collation, reporting and analysis routines in conjunction with key stakeholders.

What will I be doing?
Key responsibilities will include:
Coordinate governance (project controls), monitoring and performance reporting routines for Clyde Business Improvement Projects ensuring requirements are achieved using a range of tools e.g. Sharepoint, Sharpcloud.

Work with project managers to develop and deliver their projects in accordance with the Babcock Way standard governance arrangements ensuring projects are prioritised and delivered consistently.

Collate and prepare reports and update of systems to satisfy monthly project and programme progress reporting and review requirements.

Support interactive planning events for the development and maintenance of programme and project plans and schedules

Support the development and improvement of Group Strategic Workforce Planning/Load Following Model activities at Clyde with particular emphasis on the maturing Demand Plans with business leads and production of an overall Clyde Demand Plan that aligns with Group SWP requirements.

Engage with the business to develop monthly Performance Indicators to drive improvements in Demand Management, follow up with stakeholders to resolve forecast issues and improve accuracy.

Ensure effective document and version controls are maintained across all activities.

What do I need to do the role?
Knowledge of the following:

  • Competent in using planning and scheduling toolsets and methodologies
  • Experience of customer/stakeholder management and engagement
  • Integrated Business Planning and/or Demand Planning experience desirable
  • Project management tools e.g. MS Project, Project Server, Sharpcloud
  • Change Management principles and Change Control
  • Business Processes (H&S, HR, Finance Commercial).
  • Process Improvement techniques.
  • Business Applications e.g. Excel, IFS and Sharepoint
  • MS office (Word, Excel, Visio)
