Here at Babcock International, we are currently looking for a Senior Purchasing Manager, to join us supporting the Training line of business, you will have the opportunity to develop a team which supports current contracts, provide support to future growth opportunities, and collaborates with colleagues to develop suppliers who can deliver new training technologies, enhancing the overall capability of the line of business.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for you to come from a procurement & supply chain background, with proven experience in a strategic procurement role and ideally, working in a Training Services environment; where you would have had experience with Training Procurement.

What will you be doing?

* Implementing and delivering on the Group / Land P&SC strategy and objective within the line of business.
* Providing leadership and direction to their team, ensuring they remain focused, committed, and enthusiastic. Ensuring staff safety and wellbeing is always prioritised.
* Influencing staff at senior levels to implement strategic procurement initiatives
* Take a lead role in developing external relationships with suppliers and other representative bodies.
* Own and be accountable for all Strategic Procurement within the Line of Business, including strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier relationship management.
* Provide Make vs. Buy expertise and leadership within the line of business, working with key stakeholders to deliver the right solution for Babcock

The experience you'll bring

* A wealth of experience in procurement & supply chain with proven experience in a strategic procurement role
* Extensive training and procurement experience
* Supplier management experience - improving relationships and focusing on operational delivery
* Full Driving Licence
* Proven track record in the delivery of innovative Supply Chain solutions
* Detailed knowledge and wide experience of a variety of contract forms, including drafting and negotiation.
