A new opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Manager for our Recycling company in Pontefract.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the maintenance strategy is implemented, to move towards planned then proactive approach to maintenance and the results/benefits identified. Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance.

Developing a flexible proactive maintenance team with improved skills and competencies. Ensuring the maintenance resource is utilised to deliver maximum value from scheduled maintenance slots and that the target % completion of tasks are adhered to. To Improve the standards within the maintenance function- in line with business needs. Assist in the budget allocations and spend control and monitor monthly. To support the department on all engineering activities.

50K Base Salary + Car allowance £4,800 + Fuel card

Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm

Job Responsibilities

Management

    Management of over 15 skilled engineers across 4 sites.Plan the weekly engineering activities across the sites and support the engineers with any technical problems.Oversee and support the engineers on outage days.Manage the holiday planner and call out rota ensuring.
Budget control

    Assist with the yearly budgets across the sites.Manage and authorise spend as required in line with the budget forecast.Ensure all stock levels and locations are correct, ensuring the plants never stand due to lack of components.
H&S

    Ensure the department is compliant with all H&S regulations.Review and control all contractor documents.Review the departments risk assessments and methods statements.
Support and develop.

    Lead and set standards for the engineering team.Set objectives and appraisals for the maintenance coordinators on the requirements - reviewing on a 6-monthly basis.
