HMNB Devonport is one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe and we're a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy.

We ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in Devonport and around the world, delivering complex ship and submarine sustainment programmes and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security.

You will become part of the MOD New Works Major Projects Delivery Team, supporting Devonport's Sitewide Infrastructure.

The team are currently delivering a multi-million pound portfolio of projects which includes upgrades and improvements to our; civil/structural, mechanical and electrical systems throughout the site.

Although this role is working with the Engineering sector we welcome applications from all project management/engineering backgrounds and industries.

Who we are looking for?

We're looking for a colleague to join us at HMNB Devonport in the Role of Senior Project Engineer.

What will you be doing?

* Management and delivery of distinct tasks & activities, by coordinating sub-contractors and other trade groups
* Assisting with the co-ordination of your project team which will include regular liaison with a broad range of stakeholders such as design engineers, commercial officers, quality assurance, operations and maintenance
* Supporting the planning and scheduling of project activities
* Developing control of work information
* Producing regular and accurate project reports & metrics
* Managing technical documents' including Method Statements and Risk Assessments, Scopes of Work and Lifetime Quality Records

The experience you'll bring

* Well organised, proactive and motivated team member who has strong interpersonal and effective communication skills.
* Experience of utilising Microsoft Office applications and in handling technical documentation for engineering projects are essential for this post.
* An understanding of Project Management Tools and the Project Lifecycle;

You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
