Fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our client, a large fragrance manufacture in Ashford, Kent.

You will be a important part of the day to day running off the site performing routine and more complex repairs, preventive maintenance and installation of equipment with minimal supervision and in a timely manner to minimise disruptions of site operation.

You will be required to work across a rolling rota of 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am.

As a Maintenance Technician your role will also involve:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and complex troubleshooting and/or repairs of production and facility equipment, proactively identifying and resolving recurring maintenance issues in the assigned area of activity
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical installation, repair, and troubleshooting of motors, instrumentation and/or controls.
  • Identify deviations and document/communicate them in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Work in accordance to all relevant requirements including DSEAR and GMP.
  • Participate in lean activities.
  • Maintains level of housekeeping/sanitation/safety which meets Company's standards and guidelines.
  • Perform administrative duties including but not limited to creating and closing work requests using Maintenance Management system (SAP).
  • Train and coach other maintenance staff as required.
  • May represent maintenance on facility project teams.
  • May perform other tasks as assigned.

Our Ideal Candidate will be able to meet the below:

  • Ability to safely use hand tools and equipment for installation, disassembly and testing of electronic, pneumatic and electrical devices.
  • Good mechanical and/or electrical abilities within e.g. welding, pipefitting or electrical areas.
  • Ability to draw/sketch/redline standard machine and process drawings, write and provide simple and accurate instructions.
  • Good knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines.
  • Good knowledge of SAP and Excel tools.
  • Strong steam system knowledge highly desirable.
