System safety engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Yeovil (BA20) (please note this a ITAR site) for Systems Safety Engineer to join our client on a full-time temporary basis to December 2022. Working Monday 8:00am-5:00pm, paying between £33.47 - £41.84 per hour PAYE only.

**A Drug screening is required, and DBS Check and our client's security check is required for all successful candidates prior to starting on site**

Responsibilities

• 
  Reliability requirements analysis
  * Safety requirements decomposition
  * Reliability Block diagrams (series and parallel modelling)
  * Failure Modes and Effects and Analysis/Failure Modes & Criticality Analysis (FMEA/FMECA)
  * Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
  * Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA)
  * Weibull analysis
  * Reliability predictions (MTBF, failure rates, MTBUR)
  * Reliability Growth Curve
  * Reliability Demonstration
  * Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT)

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in a reliability or system safety role
• Knowledge of aerospace components such as valves, regulators, life support systems, and environmental control systems is a plus
