Job Details

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process Technologist to join our client, a leading global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum, based at their prestigious facility in Crumlin. This is a full-time temporary role to start ASAP for 24 months working a 40-hour week and is paying between £27,200 and £34,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

Main purpose of the role:

Assistant T&I Manager for product implementations and modifications.

Responsibilities include help implementation of new innovations, VIP, product transfers, roll-outs, recipe changes and line extensions with an agreed time plan.

Key accountabilities:

  • Point of contact for product, process & pack technology between key stakeholders.
  • Inputs into innovations & product developments related to site.
  • Implementation of new products & changes to products. (Recipes & packaging materials).
  • Drive Innovation Excellence / OTIF by leading EPM (which includes QA, product safety, planning and data co-ordination) and supporting EEM/DFM.
  • Supports trials where the site is responsible.
  • Trouble shooter with respect to product, process & packaging non-conformities & performance.
  • Assist with HACCP & technical risk assessments to avoid quality issues.
  • Ensure the very highest technology standards and processes are implemented and are aligned to global specifications & standards.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications required:

  • Food Science degree educated or equivalent experience
  • Good Knowledge of Product, Process and Technology / Equipment associated with an FMCG company.
  • Knowledge and experience in Quality in Innovation for Manufacturing including statistical analysis and process control, supplier assessment and capabilities, risk assessments for raw materials / packing materials / formulations and validation of in -house and co-making operations
  • Production experience would be an advantage
  • Competence in standard Microsoft applications - Excel, Word, PowerPoint essential
  • Driving licence holder would be an advantage
  • Day based role, Monday to Friday but must be flexible and happy to travel when required
  • Good communicator & Good team worker
  • Has a good understanding of project management requirements
  • SAP applications experience desirable but not essential - quality & material management
