EC&I Design Engineer

Intro to the business

A global leading organisation working within health care and life sciences sectors, designing containment isolator for the pharmaceutical industry.

The role

  • Liaise with Mechanical Design Engineers to effect full integration of EC&I requirements into the overall project.
  • To produce P&ID schematic to show the extent of the control element of the project
  • Production of HMI & PLC Software Design Specifications where applicable.
  • Producing functional Design Specification for the control's element of projects.
  • Test of protocols and support all Pre-FAT and FAT activities.

The ideal Candidate will have (These are flexible)

Knowledge:

  • Design of electrical and pneumatic control systems.
  • Industrial Machine Controls System Design
  • Knowledge of standards for safe and hazardous area
  • electrical designs.
  • Use of a CAD package for designing electrical circuits
  • PC literate

Bonus Knowledge

  • Experience within Pharma or a similarly regulated industrial sector (for example Oil & Gas or PetroChem).
  • Proven experience in PLC control systems design and programming.

Experience

  • Design of electrical controls
  • Use of a CAD package to design controls

Bonus Experience

  • Design work for Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Knowledge of GAMP/ATEX

Educational Background

  • HNC Electrical Engineering
