We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Business System Analyst to join our Corporate Services business, here at Babcock International. In this working from home role you'll be responsible for analysing, developing, maintaining and supporting engineering software applications in accordance with the roadmaps for their specialist area, in order to fully support business requirements and deliver solutions in-line with business and IT strategy.

This role can be performed from any Babcock Hub and includes remote working arrangements. Therefore, you'll be ideally within suitable travel distance of any UK Babcock Hub.

As a Senior Business System Analyst, you'll provide core skills and consultancy whilst working as part of a wider team of analysts. You'll be a specialist in the area of engineering software, which is used across our Babcock business. What will you be doing?

Your role as a Senior Business System Analyst will be to ensure capabilities are in-line with the application strategy and that they are compliant with the defined application roadmaps and architecture.

Your other duties will include:

  • Selecting the most appropriate means of representing business requirements in the context of a specific change initiative. Drives the requirements elicitation process where necessary, identifying what stakeholder input is required.
  • Investigating operational requirements, problems, and opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes.
  • Recommending/designing structures and tools, which meet business needs.
  • Identifying and resolving issues with applications, following agreed procedures.
  • Designing, creating, developing and maintaining learning solution content and resources to deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Producing test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services.
  • Taking responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution.

The experience you'll bring

You will need an IT or Engineering related Degree or equivalent qualification.

You will also need the following:

  • Significant experience in managing and maintaining complex IT solutions
  • VAULT highest priority experience - configuration and administration
  • Engineering platform understanding is desirable

Lastly, you must hold or have ability to obtain SC security clearance.
