Cavendish Nuclear

The Risk Manager role will be working in our Defence business which applies Cavendish Nuclear's expertise to the integration and delivery of complex engineering projects in support of national defence.

The role

The difference our new Risk Manager will make
As a Risk Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be working on various projects, including ones where we are a trusted partner, with long standing working relationship with the Atomic Weapons Establishment and Ministry of Defence.

Day to day, you'll be working on a number of projects, where you'll be a part of the overall project controls team, who look at the full project lifecycle; from bid phase through to close out.

We offer flexible working to give people more options to better integrate their work and personal life, whilst ensuring that business needs are met. This role requires regular travel to our Warrington site, on a weekly basis alongside home working arrangements.


Essential experience

* Knowledge of project controls processes for planning, estimating and cost-control to challenge at an appropriate level for risk identification, analysis and escalation.
* Knowledge and experience of working with Risk Database software i.e. RiskHive, Active Risk Manager (ARM) etc.
* Knowledge and experience of Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) software i.e. Primavera Risk Analysis (PRA aka Pertmaster).
* Ideally, you should be degree educated in a relevant discipline (e.g. Risk Management) but, this isn't essential.
* Relevant Professional Memberships and/or qualifications from appropriate bodies (i.e. the IRM, APM, MoR) are preferred but, not essential.
