The role

The difference our new Power Systems Asset Engineer will make
As a Power Systems Asset Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This role is part of Babcock Devonport, where we provide multiple maintenance facilities including those for nuclear powered submarines.

Day to day, you'll design, operate and/or maintain engineering of electrical power distribution systems (up to 33kV) including switchgear, power transformers, cables, rotating machines, and protection systems.

Essential experience

* A degree in a Power Systems / Electrical Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
* Ideally, Chartered / Incorporated Engineer or working towards but, not essential.
* Extensive design, operational and/or maintenance engineering experience of one or more Asset Classes (Mechanical Handling, Electrical, Nuclear Process, Structural, Civil, Mechanical Systems etc).
* Understanding of through life degradation.
* Knowledge of maintenance and configuration management principles.
