Import Accounts Manager

Manpower Supply Chain are currently supporting a Global Logistics company in their search for an Import Account Manager

As the new Import Account Manager, you will work as part of the operations team, ensuring smooth day to day operations & customer service for your designated customer base. You will be responsible for general clients and actively manage the named accounts allocated to them.

The Import Account Manager will handle all import & Freight shipments as required by the customer or overseas office and ensure completion of all customs requirements, customer reports and general file maintenance & documentation for all shipments. You will be managing business from start to finish.

The role is for new and existing business, handling all operational aspects/queries from the Customer, liaising with both external and internal customers and suppliers. To ensure our customers receive the very best service at all times, in line with what has been agreed, and to ensure smooth and efficient movement of goods to the customer.

The salary on offer for this Import Account Manager job is up to £30,000 although this is negotiable, depending on Experience

Ideally the candidate would need to demonstrate substantial experience of work in road, rail and mainly sea freight.

Responsibilities;

* Check that the shipping documents are present/in order

* Liaise with shipping lines/overseas agents and other forwarding agents

* Resolve queries professionally in a timely manner

* Check the options re-releases (Line Haul/Merchant Haul/Rail)

* Arrange releases, PIN numbers and restitution

* Make Payments to the shipping lines

* Charging and Raise Invoices

* Customer face to face visits will also occasionally be required
