Manpower is currently recruiting for the role of a Parking Patrol Officer for one of our clients based in Edinburgh.

You will be required to work 12-hour night shifts on an adhoc basis, our client operates Monday - Sunday so we will require you to be available of these days.


Main Duties and Responsibilities


Financial

· To calculate and collect charges and give correct change when necessary.

· To reconcile takings with transaction records.

· To park vehicles in a way, that will maximise potential space and revenue.

· Assist the Area Supervisor/Manager with the cash collection and counting.

Customers/Clients

· Apply problem solving skills to resolve problems and answer customer questions with empathy and on a timely basis.

· To undertake foot patrols of the car park.

· To assist customers in distress or in need of other assistance.

· To monitor activity on the car park and to deter any criminal activity.

· To maintain good relations with all customers and internal and external stakeholders

· To maintain hourly security patrols followed by a radio call to the station upon completion

People

· Liaise with the Supervisor to recommend changes in order to avoid recurring problems.

· To maintain good communications and consult regularly with the Supervisor and car park staff, seeking assistance and agreeing on actions to resolve outstanding issues.

Operational

· Conduct hourly security patrols in line with Client instructions ensuring that they are recorded using the Blackberry, followed by a radio call to the station on completion

· Ensure procedures for issuing tickets and collecting cash is adhered to.

· Ensure procedures for handling and banking cash is adhered to.

· Maintain compliance with company policies on Health & Safety.

· Follows up on recommended adjustments to ensure customer satisfaction.

· To report identified criminal activity in accordance with company procedures.

· To complete relevant documentation as appropriate.

· To operate and clean parking control equipment as appropriate.

· To regulate entry and exit of vehicles to and from car park.

· To safeguard takings in accordance with company procedures.

· To monitor the appearance of the designated car park, taking action to ensure that Company standards are achieved and maintained.

· To remove graffiti from walls, surfaces, signage and equipment using appropriate cleaning materials.

· To check lifts for standards of cleanliness and take corrective action as appropriate.

· To report evidence of substance abuse.

· To collect and remove waste and refuse in accordance with company procedures.

· To ensure Parking Enforcement is correctly reported and recorded.

· To ensure all faults are reported and recorded following the correct procedure.

· Carry out any other duties as designated by the Supervisor/Manager
