Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Working Hours: Weekly, rotating between 08:00 & 20:00 + some Saturdays

Location: Kings Hill, Kent + hybrid once fully trained

Salary: £22,489 - £23,669 pa + quarterly bonus scheme

Are you someone that enjoys solving problems? Do you enjoy speaking to people? Manpower are recruiting permanent Customer Consultants to be based at their Kings Hill offices near Maidstone in Kent.

Our client is keen to work with people who have a desire to do their best, people that show they care through their actions and people that want to collaborate with others (colleagues or customers) to achieve what everyone needs.

What you'll be doing…

  • Talking to and helping people from all walks of life who find themselves in financial difficulty
  • By asking questions and listening you will work with a customer to understand their situation
  • Making informed decisions collaboratively with customers to provide appropriate solutions
  • Creating appropriate repayment plans that help customers towards financial recovery
  • Providing support and clear guidance to customers on incoming and outgoing telephone calls
  • Demonstrating a good understanding of the regulatory guidance
  • Updating their systems with everything you've done to resolve the situation

What are the skills you need?

  • The ability to listen and make good decisions from what you hear
  • Comfortable speaking on the phone. That is what the job is, so that's important!
  • Being good at asking questions and patient enough to hear and act upon the answers
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills to help explain the different options available to customers
  • Culture is important to us, so being caring, honest, inclusive, and wanting to work with others is key
  • The desire to want to improve by listening to and providing feedback
  • The ability to work independently (once trained) and make your contribution to your team. We will provide clear targets which help you understand how you are doing, and your manager will talk to you about your progress regularly, so we are all on the same page and you feel supported
