Experienced Landscape Gardener

Manpower Recruitment are looking for an experienced Landscape Gardener in the Kidlington, Oxford area.

A driving licence would be desirable but not essential due to location.

This is a Temp-Perm position, working Monday-Friday 7.30-5pm and paying £10-£12 depending on experience.

Carrying out general garden maintenance - including mowing, planting annuals, bulbs, transplanting shrubs and trees, pruning at the correct time, lawn care and overall garden development

• working with clients on a day to day basis, keeping calm, polite and confidently answering their horticultural questions and developing a good relationship.
• cleaning gardens and removing rubbish
• applying appropriate chemical control
• maintaining a safe, clean work environment by establishing and maintaining organisational and H&S standards
• maintaining and cleaning tools and van.

You will have:

• at least 3 years' horticultural experience
• good landscaping experience
• a good plant knowledge and be passionate about plants and planting
• a keen interest in landscaping and be able to work from a layout plan
• a creative mind and pay attention to detail

• a hard-working, self-motivated and ambitious attitude
• the ability to work outdoors under all weather conditions and be flexible in working hours (longer days in summer/shorter in winter)
• a fully conversant knowledge of all grounds maintenance machinery
• the ability to work in a team and/or work individually

Horticultural qualifications and skills required:

• a full clean driving licence
• at least three years' work history, of which at least two years are in grounds maintenance

Useful qualifications (but not essential)

• NPTC Spraying licence
• NPTC Chainsaw cross-cutting and felling licence
• CSCS card
