Defence Equipment

The Customer Services Driver/Administrator role is based within our Defence Equipment business area.

Defence equipment stores, maintains, repairs and overhauls military vehicles and equipment so the UK army is able to train and deploy in a moment. As well as supporting vehicles that are already in service, the team carries out vehicle assembly integration and tests new vehicles.

The difference our new Customer Services Driver/Administrator will make

As a Customer Services Driver/Administrator you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. As the Customer Services Driver you will play an active part in supporting the repair of military vehicles for the British Army.

Day to day, you'll be joining a team that are responsible for delivering Military vehicles for repair and back to the customer after the repairs have taken place.
You will provide front of house duties to the site and be a point of contact for the customer.

You will co-ordinate the arrival of vehicles/assets planned for repair, deliver handover/takeover processes/discrepancy reporting and transfer ownership on JAMES system. You will also liaise with customers and the planning function to amend the production plans where necessary.

Essential experience

* Previous experience in a customer facing role
* Excellent communication and organisation skills
* HGV Licence is essential
* IT Skills, training will be given on internal databases
* Forklift licence is desirable
* You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
