We have a fantastic opportunity for Production Operatives to join our client who are one of the world's most broadly-based healthcare companies based in Blackpool, FY4 4QQ. This is a full time temporary ongoing role. The working hours are 37 per week, Monday to Thursday 08:00am - 16:30, with an early finish on Fridays (08:00 - 13:00). Opportunities for overtime (at increased rates) are available (typically up to 48 hours per week). The base rate of pay is £10.50 per hour.

The primary purpose of this role is to work as part of a team assembling and packaging a medical product in a clean room environment, ensuring a high level of quality and accuracy throughout the manufacturing procedure. PPE such as masks and gloves will be provided by the client, ideally you will own your own safety shoes. Due to the nature of the product all employees in the clean room environment are required to wear full PPE.

The role will primarily involve: (Full training provided)

  • Working mainly in clean room environment adhering to hygiene rules
  • Measuring of powder using QC scales
  • Making up product into packs, sealing packs and packaging - operating small sealing machines
  • General upkeep of cleanliness throughout the entire production process

Responsibilities

  • Calibration of weighing equipment where required
  • Capability to multi-skill in other areas of production
  • Observing gowning and hygiene regulations / procedures at all times
  • The ability to work to a deadline, to cope under pressure and react to changing requirements
  • Ensuring and maintaining good housekeeping within the workplace, promoting and maintaining company Health and Safety and environmental standards
  • The ability to work as part of a team to achieve results ensuring adherence to company quality standards and procedures with awareness of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Support with the training of new and existing employees as required

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience of working in a clean room manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong dexterity and hand/eye coordination
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent quality awareness & ability to perform independently
  • Numerate, literate & able to use basic PC software packages
  • Able to adhere to critical hygiene standards
  • A willingness to learn and follow processes
  • Be an active team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic and committed to good attendance and timekeeping
