The role

The difference our new Marine Systems Support Engineer will make
As a Marine Systems Support Engineer you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. An opportunity has arisen to join our engineering team who deliver technical advice and support to the Royal Navy, specifically the Type 45 destroyer and the Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) aircraft carrier.

Day to day, you'll you will provide technical assistance in support of reactive engineering demands from the T45 and QEC community, answering technical queries and suggesting solutions to shortcomings in design and documentation.

Essential experience

* The successful candidate will have demonstrable engineering qualifications, HNC level desirable though not essential, and ideally will be a member of a professional institution operating at, or working towards, incorporated level.
* Proven Engineering background with a general knowledge across the range of marine engineering systems and equipment.
* Knowledge of Royal Naval procedures and Marine engineering equipment and systems desirable but not essential.
* Experience as a 'hands on' technician able to rectify and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using a proven methodology.
