Defence Equipment

The Medium/Light Armour Support Engineer role is based within our Defence Equipment business area.

Defence equipment stores, maintains, repairs and overhauls military vehicles and equipment so the UK army is able to train and deploy in a moment. As well as supporting vehicles that are already in service, the team carries out vehicle assembly integration and tests new vehicles.

The role The difference our new Medium/Light Armour Support Engineer will make

As a Medium/Light Armour Support Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will provide the first line Engineering and Quality support, to the organisation, with responsibility for tasks assigned relating to Medium and Light Platforms.

Day to day, you'll be responsible for the delivery of Engineering Support to all internal customers, with a focus on support to Medium and Light Platforms.

You will maintain a physical workshop presence and establish effective and efficient relations with Heavy Armour Operatives, Supervisors and Workshop Managers whilst offering support to implement new and amended engineering processes and procedures.

Essential experience

• Mechanical Engineering Degree (or related subject)
• A background in working in Automotive or with Heavy Vehicles
