Manpower are currently looking for a Key Operative in the Grimsby area.
To carry out tasks as required by the Factory Manager, Senior Team Leader and Team Leaders efficiently and drive a process of continuous improvement.
To understand and apply the company procedures in order to allow production of food to the highest standards and to guarantee customer satisfaction and safety.
To ensure that operational targets are met, ensuring machine(s) are correctly set-up and operated at the necessary pace by applying skills techniques supervision and settings as trained, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
To check machine(s) and environment for defects and, if found, to report these immediately to a supervisor or manager.
To ensure that packaging ingredients raw materials and finished products are handled properly and comply with company quality standards at all times.
To ensure full compliance with Company safety rules including not operating any machinery until signed off to the relevant Safe System of Work (SSW)
To contribute to ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times and to report any hazards observed.
To ensure the work area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
To ensure that the hygiene standards of others operating within your area are maintained.
To comply at all times with the Company Safety Handbook, General Handbook and your Particulars of Employment
To communicate any ideas for improvements in safety, hygiene, quality, quantity and cost reduction.
To communicate effectively with other operatives as required to achieve targets.
To develop the skills to operate any piece of machinery requiring manual intervention within the factory. This position is Mon - Fri 0630-1430 and this will lead to a permanent position.
