Weighbridge Administrator

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Weighbridge Administrator in Sheffield, Blackburn Meadows.

Due to continued growth our client, a leading energy company, is looking for a Weighbridge Administrator to join their existing team based at Blackburn Meadows power station. In this role you'll also benefit from annual leave entitlement of 28 days a year (pro rata) for the first 12 weeks, and 34 days per annum thereafter (including bank holidays).

As a Weighbridge Administrator you will be required to work Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. Annual salary: £23,981

The post holder's key activities are:

    • Management of all deliveries to site ensuring the Waste Acceptance procedure is always adhered to;
    • Management of the receipt of deliveries and proactive coordination with other members of the site team to ensure they are correctly handled and stored;
    • Responsibility for day-to-day security of the site including liaising with all site visitors and contractors;
    • Monitor the security systems and liaise directly with the site control person, E.ON UK Central Security Control Centre and emergency services as appropriate during site emergency conditions;
    • Data entry for deliveries into site systems and spreadsheets;
    • Maintain and enhance safety and housekeeping within areas of control and actively promote good safety management and housekeeping within the team;
    • Updating and reporting via operational shift logs, and other relevant databases and verbal communications to internal / external parties as appropriate;
    • Undertake site inductions with visitors, contractors and delivery drivers as required;
    • Set up the Visitors Centre for large group visits;
    • Support the site team with travel bookings and administration;
    • Assist with organising workshops, training events, meetings as necessary;
    • Ordering of stationary, drinks and site consumables using E.ON systems and processes;
    • Formatting, proof reading and printing of Microsoft Office based documents;
    • To undertake any other on-site duties as required.
    • To discharge the responsibilities as described in the key activities section;
    • Ensure the safety of employees, visitors and contractors;
    • Responsibility for cleanliness of the Gatehouse and surrounding area including windows, walkways and weighbridge area;
    • Dealing with all visitors and deliveries to site and ensuring they are appropriately dealt with;
    • Continuous improvement and best practice to reduce controllable costs.

The post holder will have:

  • The ability to undertake all operational duties in respect to deliveries, administration, visitor management and security of the site;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective working relationships with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders;
  • Ability to work independently and drive own performance;
  • Excellent IT literacy for use of email, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel;
  • A willingness to undertake training to develop an excellent working knowledge of relevant process and systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective working relationships with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders;
