Your role
You will work closely with the Dealership Accountant to complete the daily accounting cashbook operations, take responsibility as the Sales Ledger, and assist the Purchase Ledger when required.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing daily banking and ensuring policy controls are in place.
- Reconciling the Sales Ledger Control Accounts at month end against the ledger.
- Run SL Statements - and work closely with the Group Credit Control.
- Reconciling credit card and debtor accounts and clearing any variances.
- Assisting with day-to-day operations of the Finance department, including cashbook transactions, reporting, cashflow forecast, Purchase Ledger cover and ad hoc projects.
- Maintaining accounting documents and records, ensuring all files are up to date.
- Maintain relationships within the Business's internal departments.
Your profile
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and experience with account reconciliation, sales ledger, and processing banking requests. Experience working within a motor industry accounts department and using the Keyloop Kerridge/CDK/DRIVE system is preferable. Must have a “can do” attitude and the ability to follow up on accounting queries.
