Finance Specialist - Maternity Leave Cover

Manpower are currently supporting an internationally recognised manufacturer in sourcing a Finance Specialist to join their team in Basildon for a 12 month maternity leave cover assignment. This is a hands on role requiring attention to detail and a pro-active attitude as you will be part of a small team with monthly coordination working closely with other connected departments within the UK and our colleagues in Italy. This is a Monday to Friday assignment supported with a hybrid working model although more office based initially for effective training and handover.

The main duties for this role will include but are not limited to:

· Preparation of Legal Entity Review

· Support preparation of Budget and Forecast

· Support co-ordination of Audit activities

· Monthly SG&A accruals/ prepayment journals for the commercial team

· Monthly SG&A meetings for the commercial team

· Provide training & manage finance intern (various tasks)

· Co-ordination of physical inventory processes ensuring overall compliance with policies

· Support adhoc tasks for Finance manager

· Preparation of monthly/adhoc Pension payments

· Preparation of adhoc presentations

· Preparation of Budget and Forecast for various legal entities

· Preparation of monthly statutory accounts and balance sheets

· AP, Cash & payment runs

Job requirements and qualifications:

· AAT or part qualified preferred or experienced accounts person

· Degree educated but not essential

· Prioritisation essential

· SAP experience would be an advantage

· Good Excel experience required

· Large company with big numbers and varied duties with process driven month end closure

· Unrestricted Eligibility to work in the UK

· Full clean Driving Licence

· Ability to travel around the territory, with some over-night stays (up to 10% of role)
