Main Duties

  • Preparation of Transport Assessments and Statements to support a variety of developments;
  • Preparation of the associated Travel Plans, as well as acting as the ongoing Travel Plan Coordinator for our sites;
  • Preparation and presentation of technical data and drawings;
  • Undertaking junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG;
  • Liaison with clients, contractors and local / national authorities as required;
  • Undertaking site visits and attendance at client meetings, workshops and consultation events;
  • Assistance with other traffic / transport related tasks

Requirements

Education/ Experience:

  • A Degree in an applicable analytical subject - for example Transport Planning, Mathematics, Geography, Civil Engineering, etc
  • An understanding / experience of UK planning standards and processes
  • A Master's degree in a relevant subject is desirable, but is not essential.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office software packages
  • Good levels of numeracy, including a good understanding of spreadsheets
  • Working experience / understanding of ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
  • Use of AutoCAD (desirable, but not essential)

Competencies:

  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to clearly communicate findings from complex data
  • Ability to work easily and accurately with numbers
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think 'outside of the box'
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to manage own workload
  • Approachable and professional manner when dealing with colleagues and clients
