An exciting opportunity has arisen to working with a world leading global organisation, we are looking for a Part-Time Hot Room Technician to work with Manpower based at our client's Research & Development Facility in Seacroft, Leeds. This is a Part-Time temporary role, ideally to start ASAP, working 1 day per week for a period of 1 year with a view to extend. This role is paying £10.26 per hour.

We are seeking a Hot Room Technician based at a client research facility working with some of the world's leading deodorant brands.

Hot Room Technician Support

The hot room technician support role joins a growing team providing consumer technical insight into the Deodorants category. The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Conducting accurately, reproducibly, and safely the key elements of Hot Room test studies, including (but not restricted to) setting up tests, day to day running of panels, booking in panelists, product applications, and informed consent collection, sweat collection, sweat weighing, Case Report Form (CRF) completion, compliance monitoring, adverse event reporting, panelist training and induction and subject recruitment.
  • Dealing with all panelists in a professionally, courteous manner and according to the Consumer Science Group Code of Conduct
  • Complete the routine preparative work associated with the various protocols; this involves the operation of laundry associated with the test, labelling test products, the use of balances and storeroom housekeeping.

Skills and experience required

  • A Science or applied Science degree (advantageous but not necessary)
  • Some research or clinical trial experience (advantageous but not necessary)
  • Be female, due to the nature of the testing and the use of female panelists
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Experience dealing with members of the public and excellent people skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • IT literacy including being fully operational in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook), experience of analysis and data storage systems would be advantageous.
  • Energy and enthusiasm to learn new skills
  • Good time management
  • The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
  • The ability to work under pressure (e.g. time constraints)

This post is currently for 1 day a week but maybe increased to 2 days per week.
