MiFIDII + MiFIR Compliance Officer/Analyst

We are currently recruiting for MiFIDII + MiFIR Compliance Officer/Analyst to work with our client based in the Banking Industry. The role is Hybrid and based in Dublin. This is initially a 12-month contract position.

Knowledge, Skill & Requirements:

• Credibility as a subject matter expert on MiFID II & MiFIR and their associated EU Technical Standards.
• Legal or Paralegal experience and proven ability to conduct analysis of laws, rules, regulations, conduct interpretation, summarise technical regulatory requirements and understand/opine on potential applicability to UK financial services' businesses and function lines.
• Subject matter expertise on EU regulations and Directives and their associated EU Technical Standards a plus.
• Ability to both work independently and collaborate with team members.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to conduct interpretation of EU regulations (and their associated ITS/RTS) and drafting of regulatory requirements.
• Advanced analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization.
• Strong Stakeholder and Senior management engagement skills.
• Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive.
• Capability to participate in multiple projects at one time.
• Strong ability to coordinate and facilitate work projects both on the ground and with remote units.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Experience/Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree; experience in legal and/or compliance
• 5+ year Working Experience in a large financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof.
• Experience of managing / working on complex regulatory projects, with variable stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions and within tight deadlines.
