PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Reporting to the Rental Operations Analyst, the key purpose of this role is to ensure all insurance related activity within the Rent-a-Car operational area is dealt with in a timely and accurate manner. Providing the link between functions within the business and delivering a consistent, efficient and cost conscious solution.

Role responsibilities will also include working closely with the other members of the Supply & Demand/Insurance teams to ensure all regular and ad hoc administration tasks are completed to a high degree of accuracy. This will include telephone and email contact with multiple areas across and outside of the Rent-a-Car business and to provide ongoing support by building relationships with stakeholders and customers of the program.



MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To take ownership of COI (company own insurance) activities for the Rent-a-Car Operations Department including processing invoicing and performing spot checks for accuracy.
  • To take ownership of CDW (collision damage waiver) activities for the Rent-a-Car Operations Department including processing invoicing and performing spot checks for accuracy.
  • To support and work on behalf of the Insurance Business Manager for any Rent-a-Car related insurance activity.
  • To be proficient in multiple systems in order to extract, combine and analyse relevant data
  • To pull reports from our rental system and send these regularly to the relevant stakeholders
  • To create and manage Location Agreements on the rental system
  • To manage dedicated email inboxes and respond to queries, forwarding on to the relevant team member/department when required
  • To contribute to the Reporting & Administration team by covering tasks which contribute to the smooth running of the department
  • To answer general incoming queries into the department via phone or email

  • Decide what and when to escalate an issue to the Insurance Business Manager/Damage & Recharge Controller
  • Prioritise own diary to ensure tasks are processed effectively and efficiently
  • Locate best sources of information required to carry out responsibilities
  • Resolution of Insurance and Damage issues
  • Best methods of data presentation

· Prioritising workload and managing stakeholders expectations

· Routinely processing damage and insurance claims

· Routinely handling insurance issues raised internally or externally

· Knowing where to find best sources of information

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

· Experience of working with data and providing management information

· Experience of managing numerous stakeholders

· Experience of working to service levels and quality measures

Experience within the insurance/automotive industry (desirable)
