The role

As a Head of Quality - Training, your role will be to provide strategic direction on the creation and management of a quality framework across the Training business unit.

In collaboration with all contracts, define the quality standards by which we should be measured. Ensure appropriate monitoring systems are in place to give assurance to the business that all contracts meet the appropriate standards and/or regulations.

Day to day, you'll:

  • Establish a common quality framework across the Training business unit (which includes both Training Delivery and Training Support contracts)
  • Provide strategic oversight on behalf of the business unit on quality standards.
  • Define the quality standards relevant across the different training and training support contracts. * Define quality metrics and measure them accordingly to ensure quality system effectiveness.
  • Ensure the quality framework aligns with the relevant quality regulatory frameworks, such as Ofsted.
  • Manage and coordinate the internal quality cycle process. Including the consolidation of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) in conjunction / collaboration with the individual lines of business quality teams
  • Provide continuous improvement, including developing proposals on improved quality process and structures.
  • Be Deputy Ofsted nominee / shadow nominee for the apprenticeship provision.


Essential experience of the Head of Quality - Training

  • Extensive education / training quality experience.
  • A detailed understanding of the apprenticeship environment and associated quality frameworks.
  • Experience within the Defence / Infrastructure environment. * Previous Ofsted nominee- desirable

This role is full time Although fully remote there is a requirement to travel to other sites in the London area and South East England, as part of the role.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
