Manpower has an exciting opportunity for a number of Mechanical Design Engineers to join the team at our Client site based in Yeovil.
Based on an initial contract running until November 2024 you will be responsible for the design, development and analysis of Environmental Control Systems (ECS), turbo machinery and heat exchangers as well as LSS and Oxygen backup systems. You will analyse the stress, vibration and heat transfer on a variety of projects and programmes within the aerospace industry.
You will use your expert knowledge of engineering discipline, standards, processes and tools to ensure compliance to customer and program requirements. Other responsibilities will include communicating with the project and engineering teams, conducting design reviews, preparing and presenting presentations to internal and external customers as well as contributing to key department program initiatives.
You must have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or closely related field with emphasis in heat transfer or thermal sciences and stress analysis, a proficiency in linear static, non-linear/ elasto-plastic, fatigue (HCF & LCF), modal, shock, harmonic, random vibration and crack analysis.
