Infrastructure Support Specialist II (Data Cabling Engineer)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue-chip IT company, is currently seeking an Infrastructure Support Specialist II (Data Cabling Engineer) based on their customer site in Yeovil. This is a full-time, permanent role to start ASAP. The role is paying £30,385 per annum working 37.5 hours a week
Due to the nature of our client's work the successful candidate must hold or be able to obtain SC or DV Security Clearance. For this reason, we are only able to progress applications from British nationals
As a Data Cabling Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Installing Cat5e/6/6A cable installation, terminations, and testing
- The installation of single / multi-mode fibre cable, termination, and testing, internal and external
- Installation of all forms of cable containment including cable basket/tray, metal and plastic trunking and conduit
- Installation of Wireless access points and networking hardware
- Following cabling drawings, patching schedules, risk, and method statements
- Use of Fluke Versiv copper and fibre test equipment
- Fault investigation and repair
What we're looking for:
- 5 years data cabling experience
- Conversant with JSP4800 cabling practices
- SSSTC would be an advantage
- ECS/CSCS card
- CNCI or C&G cabling qualifications
- IPAF 3a 3b certification
- PASMA certification
Full UK driving licence - due to the size of the client's site, a driving licence will be required to transport parts around the site where needed,
