Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative

Location: Basildon

Hours: Mon, Wed & Thurs - 07:00-16:30, Tues- 06:00-15:30 and Fri - 07:00-14:00. This is only until the end of March and then hours will revert back to 07:00-16:30.

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Manpower is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client that specialises in the provision of comprehensive grounds maintenance services and contractors for both the public and private sectors.

The successful candidate will be working on a variety of schools in the local area and would suit someone who wishes to further their horticultural knowledge, or someone with an interest in gardening and the desire to work outside. As you will be working at schools the essential criteria would be to undergo an enhanced DBS check, hold a current driving license and hold a PA1/PA6 Spray certificate.

Ideal candidate will:

• 1 or more years' experience in horticulture.
• Full clean driving licence (essential).
• Knowledge of pedestrian lawn mowers and handheld machinery.
• Be able to work as part of a team or on their own.
