HR Manager - 1 Year FTC - Maternity Cover

Location: Athy, Ireland

Salary: €79k DOE - Healthcare, Pension (company matched contrib up to 8%) 25 days holidays, KPI driven bonus 15% (pro-rata).

Our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Athy, Kildare, is seeking an experienced Interim HR Manager to provide essential HR support during a maternity leave period. The company is dedicated to excellence in its operations and fosters a positive and inclusive work culture. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining HR procedures, driving employee engagement initiatives, and fostering a positive work environment at the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain HR procedures and corporate policies in alignment with regional directives.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR matters, legal requirements, and ethical obligations.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes and employee terminations.
  • Coordinate site training programs and assist in employee development discussions.
  • Monitor and analyze absence data, advising on appropriate absence management policies.
  • Support site management with behavioral management and employee relations matters.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive site culture.
  • Manage site contracted services, including Occupational Health, Cleaning, and Catering.


  • CIPD qualified, ideally to Level 7 in HR Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and HR policies and processes.
  • Experience in employee relations, administration, and project management.
  • IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS applications desirable.
  • Commercially astute with a positive "can-do" attitude and the ability to influence and engage staff at all levels.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to manage fluctuating workloads effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a positive company culture while upholding core values.
